District students honored at Youth Recognition ceremony

Six district students, including three from North Albany Academy, were honored at the Albany County 2006 Youth Recognition Awards on Monday, June 13. Harriet Gibbons High School student Rashon Brown and North Albany Academy student Dorrel Williams were each named Most Improved Student. Damien Walker, of North Albany Academy, was honored with the Lt. John F. Finn Community Service Award. Giffen Memorial Elementary School student Jesse Rawson and Harriet Gibbons High School student Jamel Murphy were recognized with the Ed Roche Outstanding Youth Award, and North Albany Academy student Kizzy Briceus received the George Roe Athletic Achievement Award.
