Jones collects milestone wrestling win
to Albany High School senior Tyson Jones, who has become the fourth
wrestler in school history to record 100 career wins.
Jones collected the milestone win in the semifinals of the Big 10
Wrestling Tournament at Albany High on Jan. 28. He went on to win the
tournament championship in the 220-pound weight class for victory No.
101 (he’s 101-32 during his varsity career).
Jones also is the top seed in his weight class heading into this
Saturday’s Class A tournament at Schenectady High School.
An offensive and defensive lineman for the Falcons
football team in the fall, Jones also was the team's captain and a
selection at nose tackle.
