The Office of Data, Assessment and Technology is responsible for all aspects of New York State testing, reporting and technology needs. The two coordinators share the responsibility for state testing in the district, including:

  • District-developed Student Learning Objective (SLO) assessments

  • Regents exams

  • State math exams for students in grades 3-8

  • State English-language arts (ELA) exams for students in grades 3-8

  • State science exams for students in grade 4 and grade 8

  • New York State English-as-a-Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT) for students in kindergarten through grade 12.

Instructional technology

The office consists of a technology coordinator, server administrator, network engineer, technology support specialists and an instructional technologist.

Smart Bond Investment Plan

The Board of Education approved phase one of the Smart Bond Investment Plan on Jan. 4, 2016. The plan details the spending for $2.4 million of the allocated $7,95 million from New York State. The plan was submitted to the state for approval shortly thereafter.
