Grade Configuration Steering Committee Minutes

Feb. 27, 2017: Discussion of facilities

  • Review of norms

  • Re-introduction of committee members

  • Review of Phase 1 by Dr. Jim Butterworth

  • Review of Phase 2 work to date

  • Review of the charge of the committee as it moves into the deliberation phase following the completion of informational presentations last month

  • Analysis and discussion of demographic data, including how race and poverty are calculated

  • Discussion of potential facilities was led by Bill Hogan, Assistant Superintendent for Business Affairs, and his presentation on three hypothetical options to address growing enrollment long-term

  • Discussion by the committee about the upcoming meetings and the general time frame of their work, including the possibility of adding an additional meeting to the schedule

  • Committee members were encouraged to reach out to co-chair between meetings with questions

  • Time allotted for observer questions, but none were present
