Great things are happening in Albany's public schools!

Eileen Bequette, senior

Albany High School

Senior Eileen Bequette dominates track and field at Albany High School.

According to her coach, Eileen is a quick learner and picks up any event with ease. She’s extremely versatile and is capable of scoring points in any event, whether it’s sprints, jumps, throws, hurdles or distance running.

Eileen is a determined athlete who constantly works to improve. After finishing seventh in the state as a sophomore, she was the best pentathlete in the Capital Region as a junior. She went on to finish fifth at the 2016 state meet. She is frequently mentioned in the Times Union all-star picks for track and field.  She also a member of Albany High’s outstanding 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay race teams.

A member of National Honor Society, Eileen is a stellar student carrying a schedule packed with honors and Advanced Placement classes. She also plays trumpet in the school band. She manages to balance all these activities with grace and humor which causes her peers to look up to her and see her as a role model.

Albany High School is proud to recognize Eileen Bequette as an exceptional student for 2016-17.
