School calendars

First days of the 2019-20 school year

The City School District of Albany has put some new practices in place for the start of the 2019-20 school year to help our middle and high school students get comfortable in their new learning environments.

  • Friday, Sept. 6 will be the first day of classes for all elementary students, students in grades 6-7 attending middle school for the first time, Albany High School freshmen and students attending Albany International Center for the first time.

  • Monday, Sept. 9 will be the first day of classes for all other secondary students. That includes students returning to Albany International Center for the 2019-20 school year, and all students at Tony Clement Center for Education. 

The City School District of Albany Board of Education has approved the school calendar for 2019-20. The full district wall calendar of events and activities will be available in print and online in August. You can follow the links below to download a one-page 2019-20 calendar.
