Seven Albany High artists make regional exhibit
N.Y. (March 6, 2017) --
Seven pieces of artwork by Albany High School students were selected for
participation in 18th Annual High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition
and will be on display at a local gallery March 21-April 23.
The exhibit, at the
Opalka Gallery, will feature work
by more than 130 high school students from 21 Capital Region schools.
They were selected from almost 500 pieces submitted.
The talented Albany
High artists whose work was selected are:
sophomore, “Painting with Light”
senior, “Heart in Your Hands”
Pollydore, senior, “Tunnel of Mystery”
Vladimir Contreras Ventura, sophomore, “Daft Punk”
Williams, junior, “Self-Portrait”
The gallery will
hold a reception for students, their families and schools from 5-8 p.m.
on March 24.
The Opalka Gallery at the Sage Colleges is
located at 140 New Scotland Avenue. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Tuesday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
