Teacher concert—save the date!

ALBANY, N.Y. (Jan. 11, 2018) –  The Albany Friends of Music will host the annual Music Faculty Concert on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. in Albany High School’s auditorium. New this year, the event will also include an exhibition of work by art teachers from across the district.

This event is a great opportunity to see and hear the talents of City School District of Albany teachers in action.

There will be refreshments, raffle tickets and Albany Friends of Music apparel for purchase. The organization will also be accepting any donations of musical instruments, which will be refurbished and placed into the hands of our students.

The event is free and open to the public, with all proceeds going directly to the Albany Friends of Music to support music programming in our district.

The mission of the City School District of Albany is to work in partnership with our diverse community to engage every learner in a robust educational program designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for success. The district serves nearly 9,700 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at Albany High School.
