Middle schools to dismiss early Jan. 16
N.Y. (Jan. 9, 2019) -- The City School
District of Albany's three middle schools will dismiss early on
Wednesday, Jan. 16 so that staff may attend professional development
Students at Edmund J. O'Neal Middle School of
Excellence, Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School and William S.
Hackett Middle School will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. CDTA buses will be
available to transport students home at that time, and all after-school
activities will be canceled. Families should make arrangements so that
students can enter their homes earlier than usual on Jan. 16.
Please note that modified athletics will take
place Jan. 16. At dismissal, student-athletes should report to the
school library, where they will be supervised by staff until the regular
start time for their practice or game.
