School times for 2017-18

The Alternative Learning Center has updated its school times for the 2017-18 school year to better reflect the school day at Albany High School.

 

Here are the new times:

  • Choice Program:

    • School day begins: 9:10 a.m.

    • School day ends: 3:10 p.m.

  • High School Program:

    • School day begins: 8:50 a.m.

    • School day ends: 2:51 p.m.

  • Inspire Program:

    • School day begins: 9:04 a.m.

    • School day ends: 2:56 p.m.

  • Middle School Program:

    • School day begins: 8:45 a.m.

    • School day ends: 2:50 p.m.

Both of the City School District of Albany's transportation partners – CDTA and Durham School Services – will continue serving all ALC students when these new school times begin Oct. 17. If you have any questions, please call Principal Sophia Newell at 475-6525.  

 

About the Alternative Learning Center
The Alternative Learning Center, formerly the Adult Learning Center, provides a variety of programs that run from September through June and otherwise follow the City School District of Albany's school calendar vacation days: The school's offices are open from 7:50 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.

 

The ALC is located in the former New Covenant Charter School building at 50 Lark St. The school features updated classrooms, a modern gym and swimming pool in partnership with the Arbor Hill Community Center, and many technological improvements.
