Falcons celebrate Homecoming 2017

Homecoming 2017 dawned on an unusually balmy Sept. 23, with temperatures
in the mid-80s by the time the Albany Falcons took the field against the
The day's events began with the unveiling of the City School District of
Albany Wall of Fame. The wall contains names of the 79 members of the
Hall of Fame, including the eight that were inducted on Friday night.

Hall of Famers joined students, sports teams, staff and community
members for the annual Homecoming Parade throughout the neighborhood.
The Junior ROTC and Albany Marching Falcons led the parade, which wound
through the streets around the school and ended up at Albany High’s new
Kickoff for the Homecoming football game was at 1:30 p.m. Halftime
activities included introducing the newest Hall of Fame inductees and
performances by the Albany Marching Falcons and Albany High’s varsity
In the end, the Garnet Raiders defeated the Falcons 41-0.
