Albany High School senior Jahlil Young was the top bowler from Section II at the state championships in Syracuse on March 10, helping the team to a fifth-place finish.
Young, the first Falcon to reach the state bowling championships in at least two decades, rolled a six-game total of 1,167 for a 195 average. That was tops among the six bowlers representing Section II and eighth-best out of the 66 bowlers from around the state competing in the large-school championships.
Congratulations to Young on a great season and a great varsity career!
