District closed for Independence Day
Falcon 5K and Fun Run/Walk is Sept. 24
The fifth annual Albany Booster Club Falcon 5K and Fun Run/Walk will be held Sunday, Sept. 24 in Washington Park.
The 5K begins at 9:30 a.m., and the kids’ one-mile Fun Run is at 10:30 a.m. Cost to take part is $5 for students, $10 for college students and $15 for adults.
Early registration is available online until 10 a.m. on Sept. 21. Participants also can register on the morning of the race beginning at 8 a.m. for an additional $5 fee. Please notethat there is no pre-registration for the Kids Fun Run; registration for that event is available on the morning of the event only.
The race will start and finish at the Lake House in Washington Park. An awards ceremony will follow. All are invited to participate in this fun community event to help celebrate the start of a healthy and productive new school year!
The Albany Booster Club supports a wide-variety of extracurricular activities throughout the City School District of Albany. The Falcon 5K is the booster club’s largest fundraiser of the year.
