The City School District of Albany is offering four community-based budget presentations March 5-8 to provide all families and community members additional opportunities to learn more about the ongoing budget-development process.

Presentations will be offered at the following locations:

  • Monday, March 5
    • Edmund J. O’Neal Middle School of Excellence, 50 North Lark St., 6:30-7:30 p.m.
    • Philip J. Schuyler Achievement Academy, 676 Clinton Ave., 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 6
    • William S. Hackett Middle School, 45 Delaware Ave., 7-8 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 8
    • Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School, 100 Elbel Court off Whitehall Road, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The presentations will be the same at each meeting. Principals and district staff will discuss and get feedback on the district’s current budget proposal for 2018-19, which the Board of Education will review at its March 1 meeting. The board is scheduled to review updates to the draft budget at its March 15 meeting, and will adopt a proposal in early April for voters to consider May 15.

The meetings will include this video presentation by Deputy Superintendent of Business and Finance Bill Hogan. Administrative representatives from the district will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have as well.
