"Learning feels different when my teacher is talking to me from a laptop because I almost feel as if they aren’t really there because it is not in person. Another way it feels different is that if my teacher makes a video and asks questions, I can't respond in real time."

What I like about Google classroom is that everyone can work at their own pace, it's not like the teacher gives work that has to be done by the end of the class period."

"A challenge that I have had with Google classroom is that some things won't load. For instance, once, my teacher assigned an online book to read but some pages wouldn't load on a laptop, only on a phone. Another challenge I have had is that my teacher said that some assignments only work on a Chromebook and I don't have a Chromebook, but thankfully we have been able to figure it out together."

"What I miss most about going to my school building every day is that I don't get to see my friends and I miss greeting and seeing my teachers. I like having group video chats with my ELA teacher every week, and I wish my other teachers would do that too. I look forward to the online chats every week. This is a tough and trying time but with the help of my teachers and parents I am still able to learn."
