Roll up your sleeve to save a life and help an Albany High School senior win a scholarship!
Albany High will hold a community blood drive on Wednesday, June 3 from 8 a.m.-2:15 p.m. in the main gym. Donors should enter the school through the main entrance on Washington Avenue.
The American Red Cross will have social distancing and other health and safety protocols in place.
Learn more about the drive and make an appointment to donate. You must sign up in advance; no walk-ins will be accepted.
If you’re 16 and want to donate, download this permission form, get a parent or guardian’s signature and bring the signed form to the blood drive.
If you’re 17 and older you can donate without parent or guardian permission.
Donors will receive a voucher for a free pint of ice cream from Stewart's.
This is the third blood drive of the school year, and the cumulative number of pints collected will affect the amount of scholarship dollars the Red Cross awards to the student coordinator of the drive, Nina Bamberger.
