"Although this has been a trying time for everyone, I have found new opportunities to connect with my students and fellow teachers. Since the beginning of the closure, our team at Myers has been meeting every day to discuss new and exciting ways to reach out to students and get them involved. Our math meetings now include all of the grade 8 teachers throughout the district. It's great to hear so many voices on a regular basis, when I would previously collaborate with these teachers only a few times each year. It's reassuring to know that we are all having similar difficulties during this time and the sheer number of solutions offered shows how much we are all in this together."

"Both the teachers and students have showed a great deal of flexibility. Although it seems like no two teachers are following the same formula, we have all found something that works for our students. I know not every student can attend virtual classes during the exact scheduled time, but they are putting in effort to get the work done and continue their learning. It's strange - I kind of enjoy getting a notification on my phone that someone has submitted an assignment at 2:30 in the morning."
