The City School District of Albany is holding a series of virtual forums in July to allow students, parents and guardians, and community members to learn more and provide input on the plans we are developing for reopening school in September.
You also can complete our reopening survey to share your questions and comments with us.
Like all districts statewide, we are working toward the July 31 deadline to submit our final plans for re-opening for the 2020-21 school year with precautions in place due to COVID-19. That planning includes areas such as delivery of instruction at all grade levels, transportation, health screening, hygiene, cleaning and sanitization, and much more.
Thank you to the 646 students, families and community members who submitted more than 3,600 questions, comments and concerns regarding the re-opening process in advance of our forums. We will provide feedback on many of your questions during the forums, and also provide an opportunity for participants to ask new questions. The survey form also will remain open so you can share your questions and feedback as our reopening plans evolve.
The reopening forums will be held via Google Meet (student forums) and Microsoft Teams (parent/guardian/community forums) at the following times:
Elementary Student Forum: Tuesday, July 21 from 4-5 p.m.
Elementary Parent/Community Forum: Tuesday, July 21 from 6-7 p.m.
