First day of school Wednesday; virtual orientation for all

Wednesday is the first day of school in the City School District of Albany, and it will be virtual.

All students from prekindergarten-grade 12 and their parent or guardian should attend virtual orientation sessions for their schools, all of which will operate on a shortened day.

The orientation will explain opening procedures to students and families. It also will give students and families an opportunity to virtually meet their principal.

Albany High School 

• All grades, noon-12:40 p.m.
• All grades, 1-1:40 p.m.
