Senior’s art selected for prestigious award

"Between Life and Death" art.

Albany High School’s Sarahi Diaz’s artwork, Between Life and Death was selected to receive the Opalka Gallery Award in the 22nd High School Regional Juried Exhibit.

Twenty-two school districts submitted 350 pieces to be considered for the show and 100 pieces were ultimately chosen for the exhibit. Albany High’s Hidayet Chowdhury (junior) and Nazanin Mosavi (senior) also had pieces displayed in the exhibit.

This is the second year in a row that and Albany High School student took home this special award.
