ACAP donates prom gowns, clothes

Two women push a rack of dresses

We LOVE our community partners!

On Monday, the Dress for Success Program of Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP) gave 70 brand new prom gowns to Albany High School. Macy’s donated the gowns to the program in the spring of 2020, at the height of the pandemic, according to Program Coordinator Jennifer Stoner. The program is paying it forward, she said.

The gowns are valued at up to $400 each and come in a range of styles and sizes (0-2X). They are available to any senior in need who is attending Albany High or programs at Abrookin Career and Technical Center or Tony Clement Center for Education. Interested students can contact senior class adviser Sonya Emery at semery@albany.k12.ny.us.

ACAP also donated two cases of new women’s clothing from Talbot’s to help stock the clothing closet at Albany High.

Thank you to our valued partners at ACAP’s Dress for Success Program!
