Students, staff and family wrapped up a successful session of Newcomer Academy Thursday with songs, demonstrations of student work … and ice cream!
The five-week Newcomer Academy served about 160 students in kindergarten-grade 12 who are in the beginning stages of learning English. The program was located at Edmund O’Neal School of Excellence, home of Albany International Center, where many of the students will attend this fall.
