The City School District of Albany Board of Education leadership team will remain the same for the 2023-24 school year.
Board members unanimously selected Vickie Smith on Thursday night to serve a second term as president. Board members also unanimously approved Anne Savage to continue as vice president, and Sridar Chittur, Ph.D., as secretary.
"I’m very proud to serve as a member of this Board of Education, and as president," Smith said.
"I absolutely love this work, and we will continue to develop systems and polices and ways of operating so these things that we have created together are sustainable beyond all of us, because that is what Albany needs to be successful. I so am pleased that we are always making change to be better, and I am going to push us all to do more of it."
