Hello and Happy New Year!
We officially kicked off the 2023-24 school year here in the City School District of Albany with our annual Superintendent’s Convocation on Friday morning!
The virtual convocation – which you can view on our YouTube channel or Facebook page – features words of encouragement and wisdom to our employees from students Ariana Shuluwa, Masami Surisawa, Andre Speller, Killian Lee and Rayna Swann, along with myself and Board of Education President Vickie Smith.
Today marks my three-month anniversary in Albany, and I have learned in that time that we have a tremendous team here in our school district. Please join me in welcoming back all our outstanding employees as we prepare together to best serve you – our students, our families and our community – in the upcoming school year.
