Albany High School's inaugural flag football team is seeded #1 in the Section 2, Division 1 playoffs.
The Falcons (10-1) will host the winner of Wednesday's Saratoga Springs vs. Colonie game on Friday at Albany High School. Game time is 5 p.m. (note that this is a time change; the game originally was scheduled for 7 p.m.).
The top seeding follows an incredible regular season, topped off with a 51-0 win over Schenectady on Monday.
Mia Corazzini recorded three touchdowns and 165 yards receiving. Ava Muhammad threw for 296 yards, six touchdowns and three extra points. Cynzia Prokrym pulled five flags, returned an interception 40 yards and added two additional pass deflections.
