During the past two weeks, all three City School District of Albany middle schools have held Transition Camps to help rising sixth graders adjust to their new buildings.
The students made friends, connected with elementary clssmates, learned their way around their school and about the expectations in class and the hallway while also practicing with their lockers and a walk-though of CDTA buses and schedules..
The sessions, mostly led by the sixth-grade teaching teams, were also a way for our faculty and staff to get to know their students before the first day of school.
