Wednesday is Administrative Professionals Day, an opportunity to celebrate the work of our secretaries, receptionists, office managers, administrative assistants and other school support personnel.
An administrative support professional is one of the first employees to welcome people at every City School District of Albany school. They are often the last to see off students, staff and visitors in the afternoon or evening as well.
Administrative support professionals do it all: answer phones, direct traffic, purchase building supplies, support their building leaders and teaching colleagues, and comfort the student who’s having a rough day. And so much more.
They are the backbone of every school.
Their work is vital to all that we do, and critically important to building and maintaining positive relationships with students and families. They are valued and appreciated employees, and we celebrate and salute them today and every day.
