Community presentations to preview Phase I construction

Before the City School District of Albany breaks ground on the first phase of the Rebuilding Albany High School construction project in April, the district is scheduling opportunities for community members to learn more about construction of Phase I. The district has scheduled three presentations and also is partnering with Albany Common Council members on another presentation for residents living closest to Albany High:

  • March 1 -- Board of Education meeting, Eagle Point Elementary School, 7 p.m. Download the presentation.
  • March 12 -- Albany High School PTSA meeting, Albany High library, 6 p.m. Download the presentation.
  • March 20 -- Forum for residents of the 11th and 13th wards, Albany High auditorium, 6:30 p.m. Download the presentation.
  • April 14 -- Rebuilding Albany High School Community Forum and Groundbreaking Ceremony, Albany High auditorium, noon.

The mission of the City School District of Albany is to work in partnership with our diverse community to engage every learner in a robust educational program designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for success. The district serves about 9,600 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at Albany High School.
