Help save some lives! Albany High will hold its first American Red Cross blood drive for the 2019-20 school year on Thursday, Oct. 3 between 8 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. in the auditorium.
Starting Tuesday, Oct. 1, you can schedule an appointment in the library or the cafeteria. Nina Bamberger is this year’s student coordinator of the drive.
If you’re 16 and want to donate, download this permission form, get a parent or guardian’s signature and bring the signed form to the blood drive.
If you’re 17 and older you can donate without parent or guardian permission.
Remember to prepare early by consuming iron-rich foods and drinking plenty of water. Learn more about student blood donation. And on the day of the drive, you can complete the Rapid Pass ahead of time to speed up the process.
Our goal for October is to collect 104 units of life-saving blood. One pint of blood can save up to three lives; let's make every pint count!
