Congratulations to senior Tyji Maye, who proudly represents Albany High in the district's 2019-20 wall calendar.
Tyji was recognized at a special reception on Oct. 2.
Tyji is an exemplary member of Citizenship Academy. When he is not enjoying his free time gaming, you will often find him in the kitchen cooking with his mother and sister. He has enjoyed watching and learning the family recipes since he was young.
By the time he graduates high school in 2020, he will have completed three years in Albany High School's Culinary Arts program and may consider a career as a chef.
Tyji has taken part in Albany High’s AVID program since freshman year, and through that program he was selected to spend three weeks last summer on the UAlbany campus, experiencing courses and activities aligned with the sciences. Most importantly, Tyji enjoys helping people. He currently works at Planned Parenthood as a Youth Health Promoter. He gives numerous hours of his time in the community and at events, providing outreach to teens in Albany.
Albany High School is proud to recognize Tyji Maye as a student of excellence in this year’s calendar.
