Albany High School provided great holiday sounds and tastes at the City of Albany’s annual tree-lighting celebration on Thursday.
Hundreds flocked to City Hall to enjoy holiday music and food and each other’s company as Mayor Kathy Sheehan and her young helpers pulled the switch to turn on the lights on the city’s tree, located in Academy Park.
Culinary students served up delicious cookies they spent the week baking with Chef Lisa Valentine, and the Albanettes and Troubadours caroled seasonal tunes for the crowd under the direction of teacher Brendan Hoffman.
