The City School District of Albany Board of Education confirmed the following administrative changes for Albany High School on Thursday night, part of district-wide staffing reductions caused by devastating anticipated reductions in state aid that could total as much as $23.2 million for the 2020-21 school year.
Leadership Academy Principal Roderick Gilmour III, Assistant Innovation Academy Principal Kenneth Klein and Assistant Discovery Academy Principal Michael Lopez will not return in the 2020-21 school year due to the reductions, effective Sept. 25.
Abrookin Career and Technical Center Academy Principal Andrea Marques-Clarke will become Leadership Academy principal and continue to direct Abrookin's career and technical education programs.
Current Citizenship and Leadership assistant academy principals Nicole Newman and Alex LaCoss also will serve students in Discovery and Innovation academies after Sept. 25.
