Summer school begins Monday, July 8

Dear Families:
Albany High School’s Open House will be held virtually this year on Wednesday, Oct. 14. The event starts with a welcome and introduction and proceeds to teacher presentations in your student’s Google Classroom. In addition to meeting your student’s teachers, you will have the opportunity to experience a shortened version of their school day.
Here is information about how to attend the event.
Welcome – 6-6:15 p.m.
I will briefly welcome families and explain how the open house will work. You can tune into my presentation here and select the option that says “Watch on the Web.”
Meet the teachers – 6:20-8:35 p.m.
You can access teacher meetings by using the links found in schooltool under each class area. Use your Parent Portal account to log into schooltool. If you do not have an account, have your student log in to his or her account. You can request a Parent Portal account here (be sure to leave the PIN field blank). It will take up to three business days for the account to be created.
Once in the schooltool Parent or Student Portal, click on the blue person icon next to each class to access the welcome message for each teacher’s class and link to the Google meet. This is how it will look:
School day “schedule”
As mentioned previously, you will have the opportunity to experience a shortened version of your student’s school day. In each period, teacher presentations will focus on curriculum, syllabi, grading and expectations and answer questions. Please be reminded individual students will not be discussed publicly.
Students are on a four-day schedule; you will follow the Day 1 schedule below.
