Anti-racism assemblies start next week

The Albany High School Falcon Council will hold virtual anti-racism assemblies for each grade starting Monday.

Each assembly will include:

  • Falcon Council members discussing Albany High’s “No Place for Hate” campaign
  • An opportunity for students who attend the assembly to share their views and ask questions about race, racism and equity in Albany
  • Anti-racism activities for students
  • A TED talk by poet and activist Amanda Gorman
  • An opportunity for students to share their stories if they choose
  • Information about the Falcon Council

The assemblies will be held as Google Meets and take place from 2:30-3:30 p.m. during office hours. 

Assembly dates for each grade follow. 
•    Seniors: Monday, March 22
•    Juniors: Wednesday, March 24
•    Sophomores: Friday, March 26
•    Freshmen: Tuesday, March 30
