School to accommodate in-person, distance students for AP exams

Update on AP exams

The following message is from Albany High School Principal Jodi Commerford:

Dear Advanced Placement students and families:

I am writing to let you know that Advanced Placement exams will take place between May 3 and June 10, and Albany High School has a plan to accommodate in-person and distance learners.

Students who opted to return to the building for the fourth quarter will take their exams at school. We will provide appropriate and socially distant arrangements at school, and the exam will be in a pencil-and-paper format.

Students who opted to continue distance learning for the fourth quarter will take their exams at home, and the exams will be computer-based.

Both the paper and digital exams will be full length and cover the full scope of coursework described in the course and exam description from The College Board, the entity that creates the exams.

Please note that the exams for a particular class may differ slightly based on the method (paper versus online), and questions will be unique based on the exam given at a particular time on a particular day. However, the content will be the same.

We will share a copy of the exam schedule when the exam dates draw nearer. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact your academy office. The phone numbers are below.
