Summer school begins Monday, July 8
Albany High School singers and musicians will perform four separate in-person concerts this season, the first of which is Wednesday.
All the concerts will be held in the auditorium of Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School at 6:30 p.m., and each student may bring two guests, who will have sign in. Social distancing will be observed, and members of the audience will be required to wear masks.
The schedule follows.
Wednesday, Nov. 3 – Chamber Concert featuring Jazz Ensemble, the Albanettes (all female choir) and the Troubadours (all male choir). Teacher John Halvorsen will conduct Jazz Ensemble and teacher Brendan Hoffman will direct both choirs.
Wednesday, Dec. 1 – Select Choir and Wind Ensemble. Hoffman will direct the choir and Halvorsen will conduct the ensemble.
Wednesday, Dec. 8 – Winter Concert featuring Symphonic Band and Vocal Music. Halvorsen will conduct the band and Hoffman will direct the choir.
Tuesday, Dec. 14 – Winter Concert featuring Orchestra and Advanced Orchestra. Richard Jimenez will be guest conductor.
