Summer school begins Monday, July 8
Chef Lisa Valentine’s kitchen at Albany High’s Abrookin Career and Technical Center was hopping on Thursday as Culinary 2 and 3 students mixed, baked and decorated cookies in preparation for the city’s Tree Lighting Ceremony Friday night.

By tomorrow, the bakers will have made 600 cookies for the event using a dozen different recipes. Stop by and taste the talents of our aspiring bakers! The ceremony will be held in Academy Park from 5-8 p.m.
