Congratulations to Albany High School senior Boubacar Barrie, whose essay earned him a $1,000 scholarship from MoreWithUs.
Barrie’s essay, “My Summer Work of Learning How to Work in Life: Overcoming the Challenges of an Everyday Job,” was chosen from over 500 submissions from high school and college students throughout the U.S. He wrote about the skills and lessons he learned last summer working the Library Partnership Program.
He received a $1,000 check Monday from MoreWithUs. He’s pictured, center, with his sister, mother, Innovation Principal Joseph Slichko and Albany High Principal Jodi Commerford.
