Army Major General Christian takes a selfie with Albany High JROTC students

Major General Daniel J. Christian, a Capital Region native and deputy chief of staff of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, visited with students in Albany High School’s JROTC program on Wednesday afternoon.

The cadets each had an opportunity to introduce themselves and talk about their reasons for joining JROTC and their plans after high school graduation. Major General Christian, who grew up in Lansingburgh, and other soldiers in his visiting group shared their own educational and military backgrounds, and answered questions that focused on the cadets’ future career goals.
