Dear Families:
Albany High School’s Open House will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The event starts with a welcome and introduction in the new auditorium and proceeds to teacher presentations in your student’s classrooms. In addition to meeting your student’s teachers, you will have the opportunity to experience a shortened version of their school day.
Here is information about how to navigate the event.
Welcome – 6-6:15 p.m.
I will briefly welcome families and explain how the open house will work.
Meet the teachers – 6:20-8:30 p.m.
You will follow your student’s schedule to meet teachers. You can access your student’s schedule through schooltool, our online student information database, at albanyschools.org/schooltool. Printed schedules will also be available.
School day “schedule”
In each period, teacher presentations will focus on curriculum, syllabi, grading and expectations and answer questions. Please be reminded individual students will not be discussed publicly.
Students are on a two-day schedule; you will follow the Day 1 schedule shown below.
- Period 1 – 6:25-6:35 p.m.
- Period 2 – 6:40-6:50 p.m.
- Period 3 – 6:55-7:05 p.m.
- Period 4 – 7:10-7:20 p.m.
- Period 5 – 7:25-7:35 p.m.
- Period 6 – 7:40-7:50 p.m.
- Period 7 – 7:55-8 p.m.
- Period 8 – 8:05-8:15 p.m.
- Period 9 – 8:20-8:30 p.m.
Any room numbers that state A__ are in the library. These are classes normally located in our Abrookin Career and Technical Center building.
