JROTC visits ROTC

Cadets deliver gifts to members of the Albany Police Department.

Albany High School’s JROTC members aren’t just a great resource in our school community (if you were at Open House or the recent ribbon cutting, you know what we mean), the students are also incredibly service minded in the community-at-large.

On Friday, which was a day off for students in the district, Giavanna Bacon, Kevin Kam and Chiki Uzoeshi bought, packed up and delivered care packages and a certificate of recognition to members of the Albany Police Department.

The gifts are intended to acknowledge the hard work the officers do, especially during nights and weekends.

Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Instruction Lori McKenna, Operations Principal Joe Slichko and Major David Erickson accompanied the cadets to South Station and Center Station to show their appreciation, as well!
