District closed for Independence Day
It’s the Year of the Rabbit, and the Albany High School Chinese Club will host a Lunar Year Festival 2023 on Feb. 1 to celebrate.
The event is open to all. It will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the cafeteria at Albany High. At it, you can:
- Eat authentic Asian food (you need to order ahead! See the menu and order here);
- Enter a chopsticks-using contest; and
- Make crafts including a Year of the Rabbit Lantern, Chinese knots, paper cutting calligraphy and painting and much more!
Proceeds from the event will support a field trip club members hope to take to New York City.
