- Free Falcon jazz Friday (TONIGHT) – Feast your ears on tunes played by Albany High jazz ensemble members Friday at Spinners from 7-10 p.m. Learn more.
- Spa Day is Saturday – Pamper yourself or a loved one with high-end beauty services on Feb. 11 at Valentine’s Day Spa Day! The event will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the salon classroom. For the first time, barbering services will be offered along with salon services! Learn more.
- Indoor percussion show also is Saturday. – Seniors dominate the varsity Albany Indoor Percussion Ensemble this year, and they hope their collective experience as a group pays off when they compete Feb. 11 at their home show, which is open to the public and starts at 12:30 p.m. Learn more.
- Valentine Spirit Week all next week – Embrace your inner Falcon every day next week! Here's how.
- Open Mic Night is Thursday – Students or staff who like to sing, play an instrument, recite poetry, rap, showcase artwork, read a short story or perform comedy or a monologue can perform. Performers need to sign up ahead of time to guarantee their time slot. Learn more and sign up.
- Two Albany High teachers selected as STEM masters – Congrats to math teacher Tina Cardettino and computer science teacher Allen Landman, two of four City School District of Albany teachers who have been accepted into the prestigious New York State Master Teacher Program. Learn more.
- Falcons selected for music fest – Ten choral and two jazz students have been selected to perform at the Suburban Council Music Festival in April! Learn more.
- Finding a social justice mission – Seniors taking Civics and Public Engagement spent class Thursday at a community partner fair in the library, where they met one-to-one with representatives from a half dozen local advocacy organizations. See Facebook photos from the event.

Important reminders
- Student ID reminders – All students must present their school ID when they enter the building. Students can no longer enter the building using their student number. Students IDs should always be visible, and students should have their schedule readily available.
