Visiting authors are back at Albany High School!
Author Candace Fleming will be at Albany High on March 29, and students from Living Environment and Forensic Science classes will meet with her face-to-face to talk about her books (specifically, she’ll discuss her various science-themed books with the Living Environment students and her book about the infamous murderers Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb for the Forensic Science students).
Even if you’re not in any of those classes, you can participate in a reading competition with prizes! Check out and read one or more of Fleming’s books from the school library and have it recorded on punch card. When you read 10 books, you’ll earn candy, books and other goodies and be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate.
Albany High hosted at least one visiting author every school year for a decade until the COVID-19 pandemic. Fleming is the first to return.
