District closed for Independence Day
Starting June 26, a licensed contractor will undertake an asbestos abatement project at Albany High School in the older part of the building adjacent to the North Main Avenue parking lot.
You will see signs about the project around school. The work will continue through the end of August.
Asbestos abatement areas will be clearly marked and sealed off. The areas also will include a ventilation system to generate negative air so no air escapes, and independent third-party environmental monitoring. These parts of the building will not be in use during the summer while this work is being completed.
