Get your tastebuds ready!
Albany High School Culinary 2 and 3 students were busy chopping vegetables, measuring spices and browning beef Wednesday as they prepare for Friday’s Chili Cookoff.
The event is open to all and a fundraiser for the culinary program. For $10, you can sample 16 different kinds of chili and cast your vote for the winner. Teams of two students each created and made 14 different chili recipes for the tasting contest; Chefs Lisa Valentine and Jordan Rivera also will face off against each other with their own recipes.
The Chili Cookoff is from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Albany High’s Abrookin Career and Technical Center, 99 Kent St. (two blocks north of Albany High)
