Albany High School is planning a second community forum to provide updates on our partnership with the National Coalition Building Institute and its work with our school community following last December’s student conflicts.
Since the start of February, NCBI has held 10 focus groups with Albany High students, employees, and parents and guardians. The upcoming community forum, scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m., will provide NCBI an opportunity to review feedback gathered during those focus groups.
The forum, open to all families, employees and community members, will be held in the Albany High library following that evening’s PTSA meeting.
NCBI’s work moving forward this spring also includes reconciliation sessions with students, and identifying student leaders to serve as bridge builders between diverse groups at school.
As with the first NCBI Community Forum held on Jan. 29, this forum will be livestreamed via the City School District of Albany Facebook page.
