Albany High saves lives

Albany High saves lives

Thanks to the amazing students, staff, family and community members who turned out Wednesday at Albany High School to donate life-saving blood!

Take a look at a Facebook photo album of some morning donors. (You don't need a Facebook account to see the photos linked in the highlighted text. A window may appear that says, "To see more from Albany City Schools on Facebook, log on or create an account,” but you can dismiss it by clicking “not now.”)

Wednesday’s drive was the last of three Albany High will host this school year. Kudos to student blood drive coordinators Nathan Martel and Anya Stetzer and faculty adviser Alicia Abdul for their great work. And stay tuned to find out if they reached their donation collection goal!

According to the Red Cross, one pint of blood can save up to three lives.
