Greetings, Falcon families!

  • Regents exam schedule – June Regents exams began Friday and will take place through June 25. Get a schedule of upcoming test times and dates.
  • No exams on Wednesday – All City School District of Albany schools and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday in observance of Juneteenth. Exams will resume on Thursday, June 20.
  • Class of 2024 lawn sign update – Many of you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our graduation lawn signs, and they are scheduled to arrive from the vendor later next week. We'll let you know as soon as they are available for pickup!
  • Thanks for the memories – Seniors spent their last day of secondary education snacking, decorating their graduation caps, signing each other’s yearbooks, hanging out and more at their field day on Thursday.
  • They're off to great places – History is repeating itself: Albany High seniors have been accepted into the best colleges and universities in the country – more than 200. Get a list of these impressive institutions
  • CTE spring newsletter is available – Check out the year-end edition of "The CTE Express" to read about the great things happening in our career and technical education programs!
  • Cultural exchange – The ninth- and tenth-graders in Ebi Onwe’s Entering ENL class at Albany High School spent the last several months getting a crash course in English and all things America, but in the last days of school, their focus shifted to each other.
  • Student-athletes lauded at Awards Night – Elijah Temple and Anaya Zullo were our 2024 Director’s Cup recipients at Wednesday's annual awards night, and plenty of other students were recognized as well. Download the event program for a complete list.
  • Good luck Falcons – Albany High's 4x400-meter team heads to Philadelphia this weekend to compete in the New Balance Nationals for track and field. This follows strong performances at states last weekend by Rohan Edwards-Grant, Adam Elia, Daaron Harrell, Malachi Young and Samir Gardner'(long jump).
  • Best Buddies = best parties – The Albany High Best Buddies Club wrapped up their 2023-24 school year on Tuesday with a summer-themed bash that included a limbo contest. Check out a Facebook photo album from the fun.
  • Another Falcon achieves greatness  An Albany High '87 grad will be recognized Sunday at the Tony Awards in New York City and presented with a 2024 Excellence in Theatre Education Award. CJay Philip – she was known as Carolyn A. Hardy back in the day and was active in theater and chorus – is the founder and creative director of Dance and Bmore theater programs in Baltimore, MD. 
  • Congrats to Lucy Lembo and Elijah Temple – The senior student athletes were recognized at this week's Suburban Council Excellence in Leadership Awards Night.
  • NCBI updates – Twana Davis from the National Coalition Building Institute attended the City School District of Albany’s Community Roundtable meeting at Harriet Gibbons Student Services Center on June 7 to provide an update on of the organization’s work at Albany High this winter and spring. That included updates on focus groups held with students, employees, and parents and guardians. Visit our news section to read more and watch a video of the presentation and discussion.
