An informative (and tasty!) cultural exchange

Five students and their teacher pose with small flags of their countries of origin

The ninth- and tenth-graders in Ebi Onwe’s Entering ENL class at Albany High School spent the last several months getting a crash course in English and all things America, but in the last days of school, their focus shifted to each other.

On Wednesday, the students taught each other about their countries of origin, how the government there operates, major religions, exports and more. (Teacher Onwe also shared information about Nigeria, her country of origin). They capped the learning experience by sharing and sampling each other's cuisine.

Check out a Facebook photo album from the cultural exchange. (You don't need a Facebook account to see the photos linked in the highlighted text.
